The National Accounts data of Malta, as from 1995, is compiled and presented in accordance with the European System of Accounts (ESA 1995) as recommended by the European Union statistical agency - Eurostat.

For the convenience of the user, however, it has been thought as opportune to make available quarterly National Accounts data compiled using the old system for a span of time ranging from 1972 to 2003, when the series was discontinued.  Nevertheless, as indicated above, one should be cautious not to compare the data shown in the old tables with those based on ESA95.
