Eurostat Questionnaire on Intrastat Administrative Burden

Eurostat is launching an EU-wide survey aimed at businesses who submit Intrastat declarations.

The objective of this survey is to collect from businesses reporting Intra-EU trade through the Intrastat data collection system quantitative and qualitative information on the current administrative burden faced due to the requirements of Intrastat reporting and also on future potential burden derived from Intrastat re-design options.

The National Statistics Office would like to see a good number of Maltese businesses especially Micro, Small or Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the survey. This is a chance  to ensure that their views on the future of Intrastat reporting are heard by EU decision- makers.

The Intrastat Admin Burden Survey has been published on 18th February 2016 and will remain open until 20th March 2016. Help for participants is available on the Eurostat Help page.

NSO will also be contacting selected businesses to ask them to complete the survey. However, you can participate straight away by using the above mentioned link to the survey. If you receive a call from us, kindly consider taking part.
