  • Matul l-aħħar kwart tal-2024, inħarġu 417-il permess tal-bini għal total taʼ 2,259 residenza ġdida.
  • Meta mqabbel mal-istess perjodu tal-2023, in-numru taʼ residenzi ġodda approvati żdied bʼ74.8 fil-mija.
  • Meta mqabbel maʼ K4 2023, in-numru taʼ residenzi ġodda approvati fʼMalta żdied bi 78.5 fil-mija, filwaqt li dak fʼGħawdex u Kemmuna telaʼ bʼ54.8 fil-mija.
  • L-appartamenti ammontaw għal 71.5 fil-mija tar-residenzi ġodda kollha approvati.
  • L-ogħla numru taʼ residenzi ġodda approvati (156) kien irreġistrat fʼSan Pawl Il-Baħar.

Fir-rabaʼ kwart tal-2024 kienu approvati bʼkollox 2,259 residenza ġdida. Dan l-ammont jirreġistra żieda taʼ 74.8 fil-mija meta mqabbel mal-istess kwart tal-2023.

Il-permessi tal-bini huma awtorizzazzjonijiet sabiex jinbdew proġetti ġodda taʼ bini. L-għan taʼ din l-istatistika huwa li juri l-iżvilupp ġejjieni fil-kostruzzjoni fʼtermini tan-numru taʼ residenzi ġodda li jkunu ġew approvati.

Il-Permessi tal-bini residenzjali u residenzi approvati

Matul l-aħħar kwart tal-2024, inħarġu 417-il permess tal-bini għal total taʼ 2,259 residenza ġdida (Mappa nru 1 u Ċart nru 1). Meta mqabblin mal-istess perjodu tal-2023, in-numri taʼ permessi tal-bini u residenzi ġodda approvati żdiedu bʼ29.9 fil-mija u bʼ74.8 fil-mija, rispettivament. Ir-residenzi ġodda approvati għal kull permess tal-bini kellhom medja taʼ 5.4 (Ċart nru 1).

Nota: Għajnsielem u Kemmuna huma kklassifikati bħala lokalità waħda. Madankollu, ma kienx hemm permessi għal bini fʼKemmuna.

It-Tip taʼ residenzi approvati

Il-maġġoranza tar-residenzi ġodda approvati fir-rabaʼ kwart tal-2024 kienu appartamenti (1,615). Wara dawn, kien hemm il-penthouses (349), il-maisonettes (207), it-terraced houses (52) u unitajiet residenzjali oħrajn1 (36) (Tabella nru 1). L-appartamenti ammontaw għal 71.5 fil-mija tar-residenzi ġodda kollha approvati (Ċart nru 2).

Meta mqabbel mal-istess perjodu tal-2023, in-numru taʼ residenzi ġodda approvati fʼMalta żdied bi 78.5 fil-mija, filwaqt li dak fʼGħawdex u Kemmuna telaʼ bʼ54.8 fil-mija. L-ogħla numru taʼ residenzi ġodda approvati kien fid-Distrett tat-Tramuntana tal-Port (660), filwaqt li l-iżgħar numru kien fid-Distrett tal-Punent (223) (Tabella nru 2).

Il-Lokalitajiet tar-residenzi approvati

L-ogħla numru taʼ residenzi ġodda approvati nħareġ għal-lokalità taʼ San Pawl Il-Baħar (156). Wara, hemm Il-Mellieħa (134), Birkirkara (122), Is-Swieqi (116) u Iż-Żejtun (114) (Ċart nru 3).

●  construction of approved new dwellings
●  change of use from non-residential buildings to residential ones
 
2. Building permits for dwelling extensions, restorations, alterations, or demolitions that have no effect on the number of new dwellings are not included in this news release.
 
3. Definitions:
● Building permit: An authorisation to start work on a building project. It can include more than one approved new dwelling.
● Dwelling: A room or suite of rooms and its accessories in a permanent building or structurally separated part thereof which by the way it has been built, rebuilt and converted, is intended for private habitation.
