Government Finance Data: January-June 2026

By the end of June 2026, Government’s Consolidated Fund registered a deficit of €463.5 million.
Recurrent revenue rose by €681.0 million while total expenditure increased by €687.1 million. The increase in expenditure outweighed that in recurrent revenue leading to a negative change in the Government’s Consolidated Fund by €6.1 million.
The largest increase in revenue was recorded under Income Tax (€287.7 million), while Programmes and Initiatives (€262.2 million) reported the biggest growth among the expenditure categories.
As at the end of June 2026, Central Government Debt totalled €11,929.3 million, €936.6 million higher than the corresponding month in 2025.
