Public perception and experiences of gender roles, tolerance, and discrimination: 2025
In September 2025, the National Statistics Office carried out an omnibus survey with a representative sample of the resident population aged 18 and over. This article is the second in a series of articles from the survey. This article covers household roles, social tolerance and discrimination. The questions within these topics aimed to measure respondents’ opinions about different household roles, their level of tolerance towards persons from different social groups living within their neighbourhood and their perception and experience of discrimination and harassment.

Trafficking in human beings: 2019-2025
This article examines seven years of administrative data on registered victims and offenders of trafficking in human beings, covering the period from 2019 to 2025. Trafficking in human beings, is a grave violation of human rights and a crime involving the exploitation of individuals. Trafficking does not require the crossing of borders and may take various forms, including forced labour and sexual exploitation.

Valuation of land underlying dwellings in Malta – A residual approach
Accurately valuing land beneath dwellings is essential for effective economic analysis and policy development. This paper estimates the value of land underlying residential properties from 1995 to 2024 using the residual method. It uses data from national censuses and dwelling prices to assess land’s economic significance and analyse long-term trends in residential land values.
