L-ammont taʼ pannelli fotovoltajċi: 2023
L-ammont ta’ pannelli fotovoltajċi mwaħħlin laħaq it-33,818, li 85.4 fil-mija minnhom kienu qegħdin fir-reġjun ta’ Malta, filwaqt li 14.6 fil-mija kienu qegħdin fir-reġjun ta’ Għawdex u Kemmuna. Id-distrett tat-Tramuntana tal-Port u d-distrett tal-Punent kellhom 37.5 fil-mija tal-ammont kollu ta’ pannelli fotovoltajċi b’6,598 u 6,096 installazzjoni, rispettivament. Meta mqabbel mal-2022, l-ammont ta’ pannelli fotovoltajċi mwaħħlin żdied b’4.3 fil-mija. Iż-żidiet perċentwali kienu l-ogħla fid-distrett tan-Nofsinhar tal-Port (6.0 fil-mija) u l-aktar baxxi fid-distrett ta’ Għawdex u Kemmuna (3.1 fil-mija) (Tabella nru 1, Mappa nru 1).

Is-settur domestiku kien responsabbli għal 93.4 fil-mija tal-ammont kollu ta’ pannelli fotovoltajċi mwaħħlin. Min-naħa l-oħra, l-ishma tas-setturi kummerċjali u pubbliċi kienu jilħqu l-5.8 u ż-0.8 fil-mija rispettivament. Il-biċċa l-kbira taż-żidiet fit-twaħħil tal-pannelli fotovoltajċi ġodda kienu ġejjin mis-settur domestiku. Id-distrett tat-Tramuntana tal-Port kellu l-ogħla ammont ta’ pannelli fotovoltajċi mwaħħlin fis-settur domestiku (Tabella nru 2 u Mapep nri 2 u 3).

L-ewwel tliet mapep juru l-konċentrazzjoni taʼ pannelli fotovoltajċi mwaħħlin mal-grilja, li fihom data tal-punt fuq ċelloli tal-grilja ta’ 250 m². Ir-rabaʼ mappa turi l-firxa u l-intensità ta’ installazzjonijiet fotovoltajċi domestiċi għal kull elf ruħ bil-lokalità, u tindika li d-disaʼ lokalitajiet fejn l-aktar li kienu mwaħħlin pannelli kienu fir-reġjun/distrett ta’ Għawdex u Kemmuna. Meta kienu analizzati r-riżultati skont id-distrett, Għawdex u Kemmuna kellhom medja ta’ 114-il installazzjoni domestika għal kull elf ruħ. Dan kien segwit mid-distretti tal-Punent u tax-Xlokk b’85 u bʼ69 installazzjoni, rispettivament. Il-proporzjon l-aktar baxx kien irreġistrat fid-distrett tat-Tramuntana tal-Port, b’36 installazzjoni għal kull elf ruħ.
Il-produzzjoni tal-enerġija mill-pannelli fotovoltajċi: 2023
Il-kWp totali ammonta għal 241,125.9, li huwa żieda ta’ 8.3 fil-mija fuq l-2022. Is-settur kummerċjali kellu 52.7 fil-mija tal-kWp totali, segwit minn 44.7 u 2.6 fil-mija fis-setturi domestiċi u pubbliċi, rispettivament. Ir-rata tal-qawwa massima ta’ sistema medja ta’ pannelli fotovoltajċi fis-settur domestiku kienet tilħaq it-3.4 kWp, filwaqt li dik fis-setturi kummerċjali u pubbliċi laħqet l-64.6 u l-21.5 kWp, rispettivament (Tabelli nri 2 u 3, u Mappa nru 5).

Meta mqabbla mas-sitwazzjoni fl-2022, il-ġenerazzjoni tal-enerġija minn pannelli fotovoltajċi mwaħħlin mal-grilja żdiedet bʼ6.7 fil-mija, u kienet stmata li kellha valur taʼ 309.3 GWh. Il-biċċa l-kbira tal-enerġija kienet iġġenerata mid-distretti tax-Xlokk u tat-Tramuntana tal-Port fil-livelli ta’ 22.9 u 17.4 fil-mija tal-GWh totali, rispettivament. L-ogħla żidiet kienu fid-distrett tat-Tramuntana tal-Port (9.3 fil-mija) u l-aktar baxxi fid-distrett ta’ Għawdex u Kemmuna (2.2 fil-mija) (Tabella nru 4 u Mappa nru 6).

● kWh: kilowatt hour – a unit of energy equal to 1,000 watt-hours. It is normally used as a billing unit for energy delivered to consumers by electricity providers. The units of measurement are as follows:
– kWh: kilowatt hour = 1 thousand watt-hours.
– mWh: megawatt hour = 1 million watt-hours
– GWh: gigawatt hour = 1 billion watt-hours

6. The term installation refers to a collection of PV panels installed as one PV system.
7. Installation date refers to the date when the PV system is actually connected to the Feed-in Tariffs grid.
