Matul it-tieni kwart tal-2025, kienu approvati bʼkollox 3,027 residenza ġdida. Dan l-ammont jirreġistra żieda taʼ 42.9 fil-mija meta mqabbel mal-istess kwart tal-2024.

Il-Permessi tal-bini residenzjali u residenzi approvati

Il-permessi tal-bini huma awtorizzazzjonijiet sabiex jinbdew proġetti ġodda taʼ bini. L-għan taʼ din l-istatistika huwa li turi l-iżvilupp ġejjieni fil-kostruzzjoni fʼtermini tan-numru taʼ residenzi ġodda li jkunu ġew approvati.

Matul it-tieni kwart tal-2025, ħarġu 598 permess tal-bini għal total taʼ 3,027 residenza ġdida (Mappa nru 1 u Ċart nru 1). Meta mqabblin mal-istess perjodu tal-2024, in-numri taʼ permessi tal-bini u residenzi ġodda approvati żdiedu bʼ40.0 fil-mija u bi 42.9 fil-mija, rispettivament. Ir-residenzi ġodda approvati għal kull permess tal-bini kellhom medja taʼ 5.1 (Ċart nru 1).

Nota: Għajnsielem u Kemmuna huma kklassifikati bħala lokalità waħda. Madankollu, ma kienx hemm permessi għal bini fʼKemmuna.

It-Tip taʼ residenzi approvati

Il-maġġoranza tar-residenzi ġodda approvati fit-tieni kwart tal-2025 kienu appartamenti (2,138). Wara dawn, kien hemm il-penthouses (453), il-maisonettes (296), it-terraced houses (91) u unitajiet residenzjali oħrajn1 (49) (Tabella nru 1). L-appartamenti ammontaw għal 70.6 fil-mija tar-residenzi ġodda kollha approvati (Ċart nru 2).

Meta mqabbel mal-istess perjodu tal-2024, in-numru taʼ residenzi ġodda approvati fʼMalta żdied bʼ51.0 fil-mija, filwaqt li dak fʼGħawdex u Kemmuna telaʼ bʼ7.0 fil-mija. L-ogħla numru taʼ residenzi ġodda approvati kien irreġistrat fid-Distrett tat-Tramuntana tal-Port (751), filwaqt li l-iżgħar numru kien fid-Distrett tan-Nofsinhar tal-Port (401) (Tabella nru 2).

Il-Lokalitajiet tar-residenzi approvati

L-ogħla numru taʼ residenzi ġodda approvati ħareġ għal-lokalità taʼ San Pawl Il-Baħar (321). Wara, hemm L-Imsida (183), Il-Fgura (164), Ir-Rabat, Għawdex (141) u Ħaż-Żebbuġ (137) (Ċart nru 3).

1. The data source of this News Release is the Maltese Planning Authority. It includes approved residential building permits for the:
●  construction of approved new dwellings
●  change of use from non-residential buildings to residential ones
 
2. Building permits for dwelling extensions, restorations, alterations, or demolitions that have no effect on the number of new dwellings are not included in this news release.
 
3. Definitions:
● Building permit: An authorisation to start work on a building project. It can include more than one approved new dwelling.
● Dwelling: A room or suite of rooms and its accessories in a permanent building or a structurally separated part thereof which by the way it has been built, rebuilt and converted, is intended for private habitation.
